Description
Pertuzumab is a monoclonal antibody medication used in the treatment of certain types of cancer, specifically breast cancer. It works by targeting the HER2/neu receptor, a protein that can promote the growth of cancer cells. By blocking this receptor, Pertuzumab helps to slow down or stop the growth of cancer cells.
Indications / Uses
Pertuzumab is commonly prescribed for:
- Early breast cancer: In combination with other medications, Pertuzumab is used to treat early breast cancer that is HER2-positive, helping to reduce the risk of the cancer coming back.
- Metastatic breast cancer: Pertuzumab is also used to treat HER2-positive metastatic breast cancer, in combination with other medications, to help slow down the progression of the disease.

Storage
